Where to stay in Berlin (Germany)
The hotel is good. The location is great. A lot of buttons on the nightstand, until you turn off all the lights, a lot of time will pass . The breakfasts are awesome.
Great hotel!!! I stayed here in March/April 2016 and this hotel is the best hotel I have stayed in. The rooms are great, clean and modern, and the location couldn’t be better. I love this hotel and everything about it. The service is great, the hotel is super luxurious, the food is great, and the views are great.
Great hotel in Berlin. The rooms are great, and it’s in a great location. You can walk to most of the major attractions, and it’s close to the train station. The staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend.
Amazing hotel located in the center of Berlin, within walking distance of all major attractions. The rooms are very nice and large, the bed we had was huge! Very clean and we will be introduced. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
Just finished two nights at this amazing and spotless hotel! Honestly, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed far and their attention to detail is amazing. It was our anniversary so they gave me free champagne in our room and an upgrade. The entire staff went the extra mile, for example, we asked to open the champagne to be left in the room and came back to find that they were.
Great hotel in the center of Berlin. Great clean large rooms . Great selection of food . Convenient transportation from the airport .
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels, you can check it out on HotelRaven. com booked a room there and they had the best rates . The service at the front desk, the waiters, everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. The room is fantastic, very happy with it. I had breakfast too, and the breakfast is great – they have absolutely everything anyone could want. Location.
The service at the front desk, the waiters, everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. The room is fantastic, very happy with it. I had breakfast as well, and the breakfast is great – they have absolutely everything anyone could want. The location is great, too. My family and I were able to walk to most of the major attractions in a reasonable amount of time. I am very happy with my stay.
Great location, walking distance to Alexanderplatz, Reichstag, train station downstairs, it’s a masterpiece. I stayed in our hotel for a long time.) I stayed in a hotel on the inside and I was impressed with the size of the rooms, the food and the comfort of the hotel. I was staying at the hotel and it was a pleasure to stay here. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.
It’s a great hotel. The breakfast is top notch. Great variety, beautifully presented. And thank you so much for the surprise, the children had a birthday, we had a cake with candles for breakfast and there was a separate table waiting for us which was festively decorated.
Good hotel in the city center, beautiful view from the window. Good set of cosmetics. In the room – kettle, coffee maker, safe. No free water. Wi-Fi is excellent. Housekeeping every day. Breakfast buffet is good enough. Walking distance to all attractions:Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Checkpoint Charlie. Walking distance to museum island. Berlin Mall in two minutes. Nearby is a grocery store.
Rooms are very spacious and unrealistically clean. Took 2 standard rooms per family. I stayed in two standard rooms as a family. Breakfast was amazing as well. Breakfast was unbeatable. I met a girl named Polina who works as a waiter in the restaurant. I liked the food and drink at our hotel. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
It was a really great hotel and it was just a part of the hotel chain. Located within walking distance of the subway and S line train station. The location is very busy. There are stores nearby, fast food type meals (if anyone is interested). The hotel itself is very clean, fresh and well maintained. Rooms are equipped with everything you need. Cleaning in a timely manner. Breakfast is plentiful, varied, with lots of dishes. Buffet type.
700 meters from the Brandenburg Place, with lots of good and expensive restaurants around. 30 from Tegel airport by cab (25€). The rooms are what you would expect in a 5* hotel. Very large. Comfortable king size bed. Coffee machine. Minibar. and a free cell phone that allows free calls everywhere and internet access. Better to book directly than through reservation platforms.
Recently stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Everything about this hotel is 5 stars.Stunning location, the view from the room was spectacular as well.
The Regent Berlin Hotel is exuding elegance, style, and impeccable service. I love how clean and tidy everything is. The staff is also very nice and very professional. I am very much impressed. I love how they make you feel well taken care of and they don’t skimp on details. They handle everything with care and although they are focused on your individual needs.
The rooms and the views are amazing. But the spa does not have a steam room or pool :-). You can order spa treatments: 90min sports massage is €180. Will be later today and tell you how good it is
Very long spa hours and a very good steam room – everything I need for a late night arrival
Sofitel is style good brand Not 5 star because there is no lounge and bar in the hotel. The bar is only in the restaurant from the hotel, but always full and not a drink
Not big rooms but very nice. Good gym and wellness center. Placed in the best area of Berlin, in the center of the city, close to the main monuments.
This stylish hotel is located between the Mercedes-Benz Arena and the Eastside Gallery, the most famous undestroyed part of the Berlin Wall. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and business services.
I liked it all! I recommend it! The rooms are spacious and comfortable! Hospitable staff! Wonderful cooking!
Nice hotel in a good location to reach the many attractions in downtown Berlin. It’s not the chicest hotel, but it is chic with a good restaurant and bar. The staff was very helpful anytime we needed them, and there is a subway station just across the street. Overall, a very good place to stay if you are a tourist in Berlin.
The room was nice and spacious. The location is great, walking distance to Museum Island and many other tourist attractions, just a 2 minute walk and also from the metro spittelmarkt. Most importantly, the staff was amazing and so helpful!
The Cosmo Hotel is across the street from the spittelmarkt and U2 subway stations, and a 15 minute walk from Alexanderplatz Square and Museum Island. Its location is one of its best assets. I would recommend staying on the quiet side overlooking the courtyard if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise the traffic is pretty loud on the other side of the building. The mattress was too firm for me and mine.
Clean, quiet hotel. Basically no temperature control. The little wall panel was very confusing and it wasn’t until I found the manual in the handbook that I figured out how it worked . And it was still confusing. The staff is very friendly, great for business travelers.
The location is very good. Easy to get to all the attractions. The view from the windows of the hotel is super! Breakfast could have been a little nicer) for such a great room rate from 100€.
Very nice clean hotel. Friendly staff to help solve your problems. Rooms are spacious and clean. Huge comfortable bed. There is an electric kettle, tea and coffee. The internet was not good in the room on the 5th floor, I had to go downstairs to the lobby.
I had a great view of Berlin from the roof. From the tower you can see the whole Berlin, but you can not see the tower. And from here you can see absolutely all the sights, including the tower
Best hotel in Berlin, good location, in the center of the city, but also very quiet next to the hotel.
The hotel is not bad, but there are no slippers or bathrobes in the room, not to mention paste, brush, razor. (((
We had a suite – perfect! From the hallway you could walk in a circle through the toilet, bathtub, bedroom. There was a sink in the toilet. The bathroom had a separate shower and separate tub, two sinks. Comfortable large bed, convertible sofa. Two windows to the floor and can be opened. It was really nice and peaceful, nice view and a bit ventilated. Breakfast had to be chosen in advance, about 7 choices, tasty.
The breakfasts were good. I had breakfast in the room, but there was no breakfast menu in Russian. The time when breakfast begins at all do not indicate.
Now we have a rest in this hotel. Stopping not the first time. Overall the impression is good. Very unpleasant situation with potable water. They give one bottle per family on arrival. Then you have to beg, which is very strange for a hotel of this level. Our request for water at reception was met with an offer to take free water in the restaurant. In the restaurant, my request for clean water, the bartender said he could give.
It was a delight!))) Location-7 minutes walk to PostdamerPlatz. Our hotel was perfect for those who came to our hotel. Bathroom was a great room with a safe, fridge, ironing board, kettle, and an ironing table.
Not really worth the 5 stars. I stayed from 24.07-26.07.20 for the same money. I will start with the fact that the hotel saves on everything) pool closed, restaurant closed (breakfast in the lobby as an empty table), priory closed. Other hotels in Germany are all open )) next, rooms: normal, clean, but no pedantry . I liked the view from the window. The plumbing is old ! You have to wait and twist in different .
We stayed at the hotel from February 22 to 24. We checked in in 10 minutes, an hour and a half before the settlement hour. At the reception desk we took a deposit of 100 euros. Who is afraid that after the departure money on the card will be returned for a long time, the better made a deposit for cash. By the way, the rest of the deposit on the card was credited 3 days after checkout. Nice room, big bed, comfortable mattress, pillows. Huge TV, 3 channels in Russian.
Location good service not bad but rather unobtrusive The lounge on the first floor (Erdgeschloss who understand) not bad price adequately Rooms small Junior suite corner not bad take it with a view of the House of good rest in August squeezed water fries before for Honors levels above the base gave:)
I liked the hotel very much. The hotel is very well looked after and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is everything you need for visitors to the hotel. And the lobby are chairs-beds where you can spend time (even lying down) and relax before the flight, we did that
It was very well located, nice staff, great breakfast. The hotel is very well located, nice staff, great breakfast, and the location is great.
Hotel was very well located, close to the main train station. It is close to the main train station and has free shuttle bus passes for the entire stay. The bed is soft, not very comfortable to sleep in.
The room is big enough. Location is very convenient, free ticket for public transport, good noise isolation, excellent wi-fi ?No cosmetics, one bottle all in one, shampoo, soap, shower gel. Only one pillow, and a very thin one at that. No minibar, there is coffee and tea, but no spoons to stir the sugar. If you like to sleep, hang a sign not to disturb in the evening, the cleaning lady comes.
If anyone is looking for the best deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com booked a room there and they were the best rates on. Stayed for 3 nights in April with a girlfriend. Comfortable, clean hotel, good beds and great showers. Very well located, just a short walk from Hauptbahnhof (main train station), making it easy to get public transportation to any.
Weekend for two, Beloved chose a room with a balcony and a view of the Berlin Cathedral. It was incredible, in the evening – the presence of a special feeling, something magical and unusual, you can imagine that you are not in today’s time. The lighting of the cathedral, the stairs leading up to the water, it was fascinating. Our hotel is excellent value for money and our hotel is excellent value for money. Our room was very spacious.
We bought the hotel for the aquarium. We were just passing through Berlin. We thought we would enjoy the view, but when we arrived it turned out that the aquarium was under restoration for six months. (We did not see it anywhere.) Hangs a huge curtain.
The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is great. The hotel is clean, breakfast is great, location is great! Staff … hard to say. Attention to the customer from a standard room is NOT paid. Three times they changed the room, as a result of our wishes for 2 separate beds and never fulfilled. The fact that the guest was a birthday (anniversary), did not note (although this may not be generally practiced in this facility).
Great location, great for sightseeing, shopping and visiting the Christmas markets. Close to good restaurants, cafes and bars. Lovely rooms, clean and good size. Friendly staff. Great to open the door and find a chocolate Santa outside.
The hotel is clean and close to the city center and most places of interest. There is also a large shopping center nearby and some small stores. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are normal size with everything you might need. 2 people, bed, bathroom with toilet, shower, hairdryer, towels and free soap, shampoo.
Nice hotel in the center of east Berlin. Great breakfasts. Walking distance to attractions.
Great location for the train station and for browsing. Swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Very attentive front desk staff. Would definitely recommend.
Great hotel! All around good atmosphere, nice pool, spacious and comfortable rooms with prompt response from housekeeping and friendly staff. Very nice dining room and bar downstairs, and the location is perfect, in the middle of everything you could need. Pricing is ok for a high end hotel. I would stay here again!
Great 4 star hotel in the center of Berlin. Close to the train station.Great large rooms. Food varied and suitable for adults and children alike.Rooms cleaned daily Recommended to everyone.
Stayed over the Christmas holidays. Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was huge and made it very comfortable for our guests. Berlin is wonderful, I did not expect it.
It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel. Always clean, comfortable, and the restaurant never fails to impress with their chefs. This is one of my favourite hotels in Berlin.
Breakfast was good, breakfast was good, but we had to keep an eye out, we had to charge our guests twice, so it was worth the effort to get them back.
Hotel was very well located in the center of town. Walking distance to all the main attractions. Bathroom was in a very central location and not too far from the hotel. Rooms are spacious. Rooms were very spacious, with plenty of space for people with disabilities.
I stayed in a very nice hotel, modern design and renovation, coffee machine, ironing board, bathrobes, slippers, very large room, not far from the center.
The hotel is very good. For a four star hotel in particular. The staff was friendly and helpful and very helpful. Breakfast was good and varied. It took 10-12 minutes to walk to Alexanderplatz. I liked it better compared to PARK IN. It is cozy and comfortable. A grand piano in the lobby on the 2nd floor. From 10 till 18 to play it for everyone. I recommend this hotel!
Perfect location, cleanliness, waitress Jana and concierge (ticket service) staff were professional and impeccable, excellent breakfasts to suit every taste, thank you all we would love to go back again!
We were warmly welcomed and our hotel was extremely well located. More like a three star hotel than a four star. Bathroom amenities were definitely not good enough for a 4 star. There are no mini-sets (cotton buds, disks), no face cloths, bathrobes and slippers. The room is quite spacious, but I found it uncomfortable. The bed was comfortable. There is a coffee maker and kettle set.
Decent clean hotel. Could have checked harder when asked about my sweatshirt code accidentally left there. Good location. Room cleaners at 8:30am, although they were a little early.
Second time we have stayed at h4, and so glad we came back. The location of the hotel, close to Alexanderplatz, is extremely helpful for access anywhere in the Berlin area. As for the hotel itself, the staff was all friendly and helpful, and made us so welcome. And the breakfast. It was worth the trip back to H4 just for this great start to the day.
Clean and tidy rooms, good location (just a short walk from Alexanderplatz, which has great transportation links). Good breakfast, including eggs cooked to order. I would love to stay here again on my next visit to Berlin.
The staff is wonderful the hotel is very accommodating. The breakfasts are good, but make sure you are not too late downstairs as they start to clear the food with a bang at 10:30am. We had a very spacious room and a fantastic shower! All the TV channels in Germany are only from CNN and RT. One minor complaint was that the lady cleaning the room would not replace the tea bags on the tray. More of a nagging complaint were the pillows and blankets.
We booked this hotel because the reviews we read where positive.Nothing else to add. Warm, cozy, clean and a really welcoming place to stay. The gentleman at the bar with the beard was the perfect host and makes an accurate Jameson & ginger beer when you come home from vacation and remember nice people. It was a nice holiday. Many thanks to everyone at H4 that.
Didn’t really think things through. Went to the spa, I asked: where can I get a robe? At the reception. That is, I have to run naked to the reception for a robe))))

Berlin districts, where to stay
The capital of Germany is not like other European capitals. It does not have a distinct historical center and residential areas. Each part of the city is unique in its own way. To make your trip eventful, choose lodging depending on the purpose with which you came to Berlin.
Mitte . The role of the central district is played by Mitte, where most of the government offices are located. It is popular with tourists and ideal for feeling like a resident of Berlin. Mitte is not the cheapest place to live, but you can save a lot on transportation. All sights are within walking distance.
Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf . West Berlin’s main districts are popular with shoppers. Prestigious boutiques and the beautiful baroque Charlottenburg Palace can be found here.
Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg . This part of town suits fans of nightclubs and bars, the informal and creative people.
Treptow-Köpenick . Neighborhoods to the east of the city are popular with Russian tourists, because they are close to Schönefeld Airport, which receives most flights from Russia. Those who stay here enjoy walking through the parks.
Tempelhof-Schöneberg . Quiet and safe neighborhoods are in demand for family vacations.
Reinickendorf . The outskirts of the city is famous for its lakes and forests, where Berliners themselves love to spend time.

Disadvantaged areas of Berlin
In general, the city is considered safe, but tourists are not recommended to visit Alexanderplatz in the evening, where pickpockets can be found. Do not rent apartments in Kreuzberg and Neunkel, which are home to many migrants from Arab countries and Turkey. Marzahn is considered an undesirable location because of a neo-Nazi congregation.
How to save money and find a comfortable place to live
The capital of Germany is a popular destination for European tourism. People come here all year round, so accommodation is plentiful. The difference between prices in summer and winter is negligible. Owners offer a service Ferienwohnungen (“vacation home”) and rent inexpensive apartments with a kitchen.
Here are easy ways not to spend too much money and to find a comfortable apartment in Berlin:
- Look for cheap options on the outskirts of the city.
- Inexpensive apartments in Berlin city center are in demand, so book 2-3 months in advance.
- During vacations students often leave the city and rent their apartments inexpensively to tourists.
- If you are visiting Berlin in summer, get an apartment with air conditioning.
- In order not to spend money on cabs, look for an apartment close to the subway station or public transport stops.
- If you want to cook on your own, choose an apartment with a kitchen. Preferably there should be a grocery store, supermarket, or market nearby.
