Where to stay in Kvariati (Batumi)
Great hotel. Rooms are new, balconies overlooking the sea, 5 minutes walk to the pebble beach. The sea is wavy but you can swim, in July the water was very warm. Hospitable and friendly staff. Very tasty and varied breakfasts at the hotel. Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 days, because of bad weather (it rained) we had to leave, but we really hope to come back to Hotel Egrisi again! On the beach.
The best place in Adjara. It’s quiet, peaceful. The beach is huge nearby. Markets, gas station, hair salon. The hotel is not on the road. But the beach is within walking distance. The hotel has a great breakfast! Nearby is a family cafe. The hotel staff is super!
ROSA Hotel is located in Gonio, 500m from the beach of Gonio. It has a seasonal outdoor pool, free private parking, bar and common lounge.

Villa Del Mar Kvariati is located in the village of Kvariati, overlooking the garden. It offers a restaurant, a shared lounge, a bar, a garden, a children’s playground and barbecue facilities.
Not perfect cleanliness, given two towels for two, no slippers, no shelves or hooks in the bathroom, i.e. no clothes to put anywhere as long as you can.
Good hotel, close to the sea. All rooms have balconies and air conditioning. Probably worth a small cosmetic repairs. Bathroom was my room was amazing with lots of features and a huge bathtub.
The location is great, wonderful views, and the staff was super friendly: Georgi solved problems instantly. Lela, the cook, made breakfasts individually for our daughter: cheesecakes, kasha, pancakes. We stayed and worked for 15 days, we left satisfied and happy.

The location is great and the rooms are clean. But it is almost impossible to eat, there is nothing or the kitchen is constantly out of order. Make sure you stock up on food. There is absolutely nowhere to eat nearby.

July 2021. Nice place, quiet, clean beach, not a lot of people. Rightfully considered the best beach in Georgia. ❤️ The hotel is on the very beach. All the windows of our room on the 5th floor overlooked the sea. The room is large and clean, we vacation with two children (4-bed). In the room air conditioner, refrigerator. There is a table and chairs on the big balcony. The hotel has a restaurant on the outdoor terrace, a large selection of dishes and wines, some homemade.
A great place! The hotel is right on the coast. The restaurant has good food. If you have a car, it’s best to live by the sea in Kvariati, and go for a walk to Batumi. It’s only 5 minutes away.

It’s a little paradise on earth Everything was great. Very glad I chose this particular hotel. It is a 5 minute drive to the sea. But for me that’s great. Since I wanted less hustle and bustle. The locations here surpassed themselves❤❤❤ you can sit for hours and look at the sea and mountains The owners are very nice and responsive people as well as all the staff. Thank you. This is a family hotel with homelike atmosphere and tasty food. It has a restaurant with Georgian cuisine, apartments of different sizes, several public pools and a huge area with a gorgeous view of the sea and the mountains.

Hotel on the beach. Cozy, small in a Soviet style. Felt like my grandmother’s house. Located in a picturesque place. It is better to take rooms with a view of the mountains. Food can be ordered in a small restaurant in the hotel itself, they cook tasty and homemade.
The food is cooked tasty and homemade, even if there are some shortcomings, they are remedied by the hospitality, cordiality and attention of the owners and staff. Very good food, respect! Great location, 3 minutes from the sea. Beautiful view around, in particular from the window. We fell in love with the place on the very first day.
Guesthouse “otseba” is located on the second line of Kvariati, 15 km from Batumi. The hotel met on arrival, the room is standard, clean, cozy! The staff is friendly, the hostess Nonna is very welcoming! The sea is across the street, visible from the balcony! The weather is great, the air is clean and pleasant! It was a great place to stay. Super modern hotel with everything you need for your vacation. Really can’t think of anything to complain about. The hotel has wonderful hosts who do everything to make the visitors feel comfortable. At the moment there is only breakfast buffet, but in 2020 they promise a full-fledged cafe or restaurant. We managed to stay in 3 rooms, including a suite. The suite is basic.

The most delicious cuisine we have tasted in Georgia. Everything is from under the knife, the freshest. The portions are huge. Home-made wine is great, you can beat any store wine. Soulful service. Beautiful view from the mountain on Gonio. I highly recommend everyone to stop in here! After this place we couldn’t find anything like it in Batumi or Tbilisi.
Not a bad hotel at all. It’s located on a hillside with a great view of Kvariati, Gonio, the beach and Batumi. There are 400 steps leading to the sea, which go through a citrus orchard and along a small stream. Good rooms, There is a good cafe on the premises with nice prices and varied menus. The food is good, the portions are not small. The only drawback is that you can hear the surf well.

Kvariati: tips for recreation
Until 1995, the village on the Black Sea was included in the border zone, and to enter here could only be by pass. Now Kvariati is a popular seaside resort in Georgia. I tell you whether it is comfortable to rest here, and what the prices in 2022.

Impression of the resort.
Kvariati stretches on both banks of the river of the same name 15 km south of Batumi. The village is small – a shuttle bus passes it in a couple of minutes. Modern seaside resort with hotels 3-5* is surrounded by picturesque green mountains. Some lodgings are down by the sea, and some hotels are on the mountain slope. We were in one such “upper” hotel. The views from there are amazing!
According to reviews, holidays in Kvariati are popular with diving enthusiasts. The sea here is clean enough, and the depth begins not far from the shore. There is a diving center on the shore, where you can be trained and get an international certificate PADI.

What Sea and Beaches
The sea in Kvariati is cleaner than in Batumi. During the season, the pebble beach is cleaned, so there is no garbage. There are cafes and bars open for vacationers, there are small inflatable slides for children, changing rooms and showers.

Hotels in Kvariati
Hotel prices in Batumi and Kvariati in 2022 are almost the same. During the high season a double room in a guesthouse costs 800-1000 rubles per day, in a 3* hotel with a swimming pool – 2200-2800 rubles, and in a 5* hotel – 3100 rubles. We have not found any “all inclusive” offers. If you want to get around without the tiresome descents and ascents, rent accommodations below, not on the slopes of the mountain! Food Prices
Food prices in Kvariati are the same as throughout Georgia – low. For dinner for two without liquor you will pay 20-25 GEL. We liked the cozy atmosphere and delicious food at Frida Beach Cafe boho beach cafe. The portions in Georgia are big, don’t rush to order a lot!
JuliBook: “The cost of dishes is even democratic: kubdari (with meat) – 10 GEL, lula kebab – 11 GEL, chihirtma – 8 GEL, khachapuri Adjara – 7 GEL, a glass of Georgian wine – 5 GEL”.
What to see and do
In Kvariati itself there are no sights and entertainment, so tourists willingly go on excursions to interesting places in Georgia. According to reviews, popular day tours to Makhuntseti waterfall, the national park “Mtirala” and the mountainous Adjara. Prices for them start at $30.
You should not take all tours in a row! There are shuttles and buses to Batumi, so you can easily get to the resort town and Batumi Botanical Garden on your own. In the neighboring village of Gonio we advise to look at the Roman fortress. It costs 10 lari to enter it. Walk to the waterfall of St. Andrew! From the southern border of the village to the picturesque site is just over 1 km.

Rest with children
According to reviews from tourists, families with children like holidays in Kvariati. Especially good at the seaside with the little ones. Everything is at hand! It is easy to walk from the hotel to the beach. In the village there are stores, fruit and vegetable shops, near the sea sell resort goods – swimwear, inflatables and children’s toys. However, for entertainment, such as a water park, attractions and museums, one has to go to Batumi.
Anastasia: “We stayed in the apart-hotel “Sunset Kvariati”. The apartment is awesome and there were four of us (my husband and kids). The room had air conditioning, comfortable beds, and cleanliness. We liked it very much, we recommend it to everyone.

When it’s better to go
Kvariati is a village for beach holidays, so most of the year its hotels are empty. Bathing season begins in late May – early June, and the sea remains warm until late October. Because of the subtropical climate all Georgian resorts have high humidity, in July and August it is quite hot. If you can not stand the summer heat, come to the resort in June or in the first half of autumn.
Is it worth to go
Rest in Kvariati in 2022 has many advantages. Compared to Batumi, the sea here is cleaner, and there isn’t a large flow of tourists. It’s only 20 minutes by shuttle or bus to Batumi’s entertainment. The hotels, which are located on the slopes of the mountain, offer wonderful views of the coast. Admire the sunset right from your room!
The main disadvantage of Kvariati is that it’s a small village. You have to take public transportation or a cab to get to all attractions.
