How to get to Paris from the airport
Airports Charles de Gaulle and Orly, where most flights arrive, are located respectively 25 and 14 kilometers from Paris. If you are traveling to Paris from one of the cities in Europe on a low-cost airline such as Ryanair or Wizz Air, you are likely to arrive at Bove Airport. It is more than 70 km from the center of the French capital.
From Charles de Gaulle airport
The most convenient and fastest way to get to Paris from Charles de Gaulle airport is to take the RER train. This is an abbreviation for the name of the network of regional trains. You could call them by a more common term – suburban trains, but they run not only in the suburbs, but also in the city, intersecting with the junction stations of subway lines.
RER stations are located at Terminals 2, 3 and Roissypole area, where the airport office buildings are located. Trains go to Paris from 04:56 to 23:40 every 12 minutes. Tickets cost from 9.75 € and may be purchased at RER stations at ticket booths or from vending machines marked “Billets Paris Ile-de-France”.
It takes about half an hour to get to the center. On the way the train makes several stops, where you can change to the subway. Understand the scheme of routes of trains and intersections with the subway should be done in advance, so you do not miss the right stop. Some stations are arranged in such a way that you can not change to the return train – platforms are separated by railroad tracks. You will have to go to the lobby on the surface and buy a ticket again to go to the train in the opposite direction. By skipping the stop, you can drive to the station where there is an inside crossing for the return train, but that way you risk getting lost altogether.
Buses run between the airport and the center of Paris from 06:00 to 23:00. Usually the trip takes about 50 minutes.
Buses Roissy depart from the stops at terminals T1 and T2 every 15 minutes. Their terminus is at the Opera House in the city center. Fares start from 11 €.
Air France buses go in the direction of Montparnasse. Tickets cost from 15 €.
Bus number 351 runs to the metro station “Nación” (Nation), closing a large ring around the center of Paris. Bus number 350 goes to Gare de l’Est. Both routes start from the RER stop. Frequency of departure of buses is 15-35 minutes, the fare is 6 €.

From Orly airport
At Orly airport passengers are served by two terminals – Sud (South) and Quest (West). They are connected by an express metro line Orlyval, travel is free. In addition, Aeroports de Paris buses run between terminals and provide access to remote parking lots.
Automated controlled high-speed trains Orlyval, no longer free of charge, take passengers to the station “Antoni” (line B). Here you have to change to the RER train and head to the central metropolitan areas. Trains run every 4-7 minutes from 06:00 to 23:00. On the road you will spend about an hour. The streetcar T7 is cheaper to the “Villejuif-Louis Aragon” metro station – only 1.8 €. However, with all stops this transport takes about 45 minutes to the end point.
From Orly to the center of the French capital you can take a cab for 50-70 €. Parking can be found at the exit of baggage claim areas (South Terminal – Zone L, West Terminal – Zone B). Services of motorcycle cab are available from 07:00 to 20:30 and the fare would cost 30-50 €.
From Beauvais airport
The international airport of Beauvais is about 70 km from central Paris. The most convenient way to get from here to the capital is to use the special shuttle buses. They take passengers to the subway station Porte Maillot in 1 hour. 15 minutes. The trip will cost 16 €, children under 3 years old are free.
You can go to Paris by train. However, for this you must first take the shuttle or bus number 12 about 4 km to the city of Beauvais, and there change to an express train TER. This transport network, like the RER, provides regional transportation.

It is quite expensive to get to Paris by train, even from the European part of Russia, but it is possible. Train No. 023/024 runs between the French and Russian capitals all year round. Passengers spend on the way as much as 40 hours. 28 minutes, but in quite comfortable conditions.
Trains leave the Moscow Belorusskiy railway station at 19:12 on Tuesdays and arrive in Paris on Thursday at 09:40. Fare per person in a compartment of 2nd class – 339 €, 1st class – 474 €. There are no direct railroad connections between St. Petersburg and Paris, but from Northern Capital, you can take a train to Riga and go to Paris having paid inexpensive air ticket. Trains to Riga depart from Vitebsk railway station daily at 17:20. On the way you’ll spend about 16 hours. The ticket price is about 50 € (reserved seats) and 90 € (coupe).
