I was in Rome a couple of years ago. The city, of course, is impressive, there is a place to “spread out”. I don’t think I ever went to Bari, but a few days before the end of my vacation my friends encouraged me to go to Bari and I must say that they didn’t do it in vain, I liked it very much. And now I will tell you how to get from Rome to Bari in several ways.

From Rome to Bari by car

The distance between Rome and Bari is 450 kilometers, and you have to cross virtually the entire peninsula when traveling, and you can do it in 4 hours and 30 minutes. However, I would advise you to set aside an hour for rest, lunch and to refuel the car. You are going to spend most of the time driving along the E-45, aka A-1 freeway. The condition of the road is excellent – two or three lanes in each direction (so you can choose the lane with the most comfortable speed), there is the dividing line, well-marked markings and all the necessary signs. There is no shortage of gas stations either.

What can I see on my way to Bari?

Be sure to check out Naples! As a lover of palaces I suggest you to see such beautiful structures: Castel Sant’Elmo, Palazzo di Capodimonte , Castel del Ovo и Royal Palace in Naples . The latter palace impressed me the most! Maybe from the outside it doesn’t stand out as something special. But inside it’s beautiful. I wandered for hours through the castle with pleasure, imagining what the atmosphere was like 200 years ago. The stairs, mosaic on the walls, decoration of columns – everything is very beautiful and brings us into the atmosphere of bygone times. You can tell a lot of stories, but it is better to see with your own eyes.

As we can see all the ways are quite fast and comfortable, and at the same time are very budget-friendly. Have a nice trip!
