Airports Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly, where most airliners arrive, are located respectively 25 and 14 kilometers from Paris. If you are traveling to Paris from one of the cities in Europe on a low-cost airline such as Ryanair or Wizz Air, you are likely to arrive at Beauvais airport. It is more than 70 km from the center of the French capital.

Charles de Gaulle facilitates the movement of more than 150,000 travelers every day, and the figure is off the charts in the tens of millions a year.

How to get there:

From Charle de Gaulle

Located 25 km northeast of the capital, Charles-de-Gaulle takes the brunt of the passenger traffic with its major international airlines: XL Airways France, Blue Line, Delta Air Lines from America and the FedEx Express freighter.

By train from Charles-de-Gaulle to Paris

The most convenient and fastest way to get to Paris from Charles de Gaulle airport is to take the RER train. RER stations are located at Terminals 2, 3 and Roissypole, where the airport office buildings are located. Trains go to Paris from 04:56 to 23:40 every 12 minutes. Tickets cost from 9.75 euros (720 rubles), and can be purchased at RER stations at ticket booths or vending machines marked “Billets Paris Ile-de-France”. It takes about half an hour to get to the center. On the way the train makes several stops, where you can change to the subway.

Bus from Charles-de-Gaulle to Paris

Buses run between the airport and downtown Paris from 06:00 to 23:00. The trip usually takes about 50 minutes. From the stops at the terminals T1 and T2 depart Roissy buses every 15 minutes. Their terminus is at the Opera House in the city center. The fare varies from 11 Euros (800 rubles). Buses leave from Terminal 1 – (exit 8); 2 (A and C) – (exit A9); 2D – (exit B11); 2 (E and F) – (exit 5); 3 – (at the exit from the arrival hall). The cheapest local bus is the low-cost Easybus – its tickets sell for only 2 euros, and you can buy them online at the official website, too, and explore the route of the cars.

By cab from Charles de Gaulle to Paris

Getting to the center of Paris by cab is expensive – on average, 55 to 60 euros (4,500 rubles). Evening, Sunday and holiday fares are higher by 15-20%. The night tariff is valid from 19:00 to 7:00 if you need to get to the suburbs, and from 17:00 to 10:00 if your way lies in the center of the capital. Cabs are waiting for passengers at the exit of baggage claim areas. Note that Parisian streets are often jammed with traffic jams. In this case, the counter in the cab continues to work, and by the end of the trip you have to pay a lot more than you bargained for. Relatively inexpensive to get to the center of Paris from the airport you can take buses number 350, 351. You will pay 5.10 euros if you buy at least three tickets in the machine, and 5.70 euros if you buy a ticket from the driver. Tickets are valid at the entrance. Navigo passes are also valid on this transport. Buses depart from terminals 1, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D from 07:00 to 21:30. Interval of travel: 15-30 minutes on weekdays, 25-30 minutes on holidays and weekends. The trip may take from an hour to an hour and a half.

From Orly

Orly airport is 14 kilometers from Paris. The fastest way to get to Paris, is considered a cab. This service will cost you about 50 euros (3 600 rubles). Duration of the trip is 20-25 minutes.

By train you can reach the RER Antony station and change to an RER train and go to the central metropolitan areas. Trains run every 4-7 minutes from 06:00 to 23:00. On the road you will spend about an hour. The fare from the airport to Antony station is 9.3 euros (680 rubles), the total ticket (Orlyval + RER) is 12 euros (870 rubles).

By bus Orlybus you can reach the metro station “Danfer-Rochero” in half an hour. From 06:00 to 23:00 they go every 15-20 minutes. The fare is 8 euros. Jetbus buses take passengers to the metro station “Villejuif – Louis Aragon” in 15 minutes. Bus number 183 will take you to Porte de Choisy metro station. Take bus number 91.10 to the station Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

From Beauvais

Beauvais International Airport is located about 70 km from central Paris. The most convenient way to get from here to the capital is to use the special shuttle buses. They take passengers to the subway station Porte Maillot in 1 hour. 15 minutes. The trip will cost 16 €, children under 3 years old are free. You can go to Paris by train. However, for this you must first take a shuttle or bus number 12 about 4 km to the city of Beauvais, and there change to an express train TER. 1. How to get from the airport to Paris by train

One of the fastest and most convenient ways to get from Charles de Gaulle airport to the center of Paris without traffic jams is to use trains. There are two options:

  • RER B commuter trains;
  • SNCF TGV trains.

Electric trains RER system (line B) allows you to go from the airport to the center of Paris (Denfert-Rochereau, Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame, Gare du Nord) and its suburbs. The ticket costs 9.75 euro to Paris-Châtelet les Halles, a major hub, where you can transfer to the subway. Journey time – from 30 minutes, the trains run until 12 at night.

Electric trains at the airport stop at two stations: Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 – TGV. Note that different stations serve different terminals. So, the station Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 serves Terminals 1 and 3, and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 – TGV – terminal 2 ACDEF and G (terminal 2G is connected to 2F by a free shuttle N2). There is also a free shuttle CDGVAL between airport terminals – an automatic subway train that stops at all terminals. The train runs every 4 minutes.

You can also get to Paris, as well as other cities in France (and even Belgium) by train SNCF TGV . The railway station is located between terminals 2C-2D and 2E-2F and is called Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 – TGV. You can get to the station from terminals 2A, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F by taking the free N1 bus. From terminals 1 and 3 you can get to the station on the free shuttle CDGVAL and terminals 2G and 2F are connected by the free shuttle N2.

2. 2. How to get from the airport to Paris by bus

There are several routes to get from Charles de Gaulle airport to Paris:

  • Les Cars Air France buses;
  • Roissybus buses;
  • Buses No. 350, 351 and 19;
  • Noctilien night bus.
2.1 Les Cars Air France

Air France line 2 buses go from the airport to the center of Paris (Charles de Gaulle Etoile and Porte Maillot metro stations). Buses stop at terminals 2A-2C, 2E-2F, 2D and 1. Buses run every 30 minutes until 23:00. The ticket price is 17 euros.

Air France line 4 buses connect the airport with the center of Paris. Stops in the center: Rue du commandant Mouchotte (metro station Gare Montparnasse) and 20 bis boulevard Diderot (metro station Gare de Lyon). Stops: at terminals 2A-2C, 2E-2F, 2D and 1. The ticket price is 17,5 euros.

If you need to get to Orly from Charles de Gaulle airport, take Air France line 3 buses. Stops at Orly: south and west terminals. Stops at Charles de Gaulle airport: at terminals 2A-2C, 2E-2F, 2D and 1. Tickets cost 21 euros.

2.2 Roissybus shuttles

Buses go to the metro station Opéra. Stops: terminals 2A- 2C, 2E-2F, 2D, 3 and 1. The cost is 11 euros.

2.3 Bus no. 350, 351 and 19

You can take bus number 350 from the airport to Gare de l’Est. Bus stops are: terminals 2A-2C, 2B-2D, 1, railway station TGV-SCNF and station Roissypôle. The ticket price is 6 euros.

Bus number 351 connects the airport with the metro station Nation. Stops: terminals 2A, 2C, 2D and 1, as well as railway station TGV-SCNF. The ticket price is 6 euros .

Bus number 9 runs between Torcy RER (railway station in the suburbs of Paris) and the railway station Roissypôle RER at Charles de Gaulle airport. The cost of the ticket is 2 euros .

2.4 Noctilien night bus to Paris

If you arrive at night or if your flight leaves early in the morning, you can take the night buses to Paris:

  • No. 120 to Corbeil-Essonnes train station;
  • No. 121 to La Verrière railway station;
  • No. 140 – to the railway station Paris-Gare de l’Est.

Bus stops at the airport: terminals 1 and 3, TGV station. Tickets cost 8 euros. The bus runs from midnight to 4:30 am.

2.5 Val d’Europe Airports Shuttle (VEA) to Disneyland

This company’s shuttles take you from the airport to the hotels and Disneyland Park. Stops are terminals 2E-2F, 2A-2C, 2D, 2G, 1 and 3. The ticket price for adults is 20 euros, for children 16 euros. The bus from the airport runs until approximately 9 pm.

Take a cab from the airport to Paris

You will find cabs at the airport on a first-come, first-served basis. Cabs can only pick up passengers at certain exits:

  • Terminal 1 – Gate 24 in the arrivals hall;
  • terminal 2A – gate 6;
  • terminal 2C – gate 14;
  • Terminal 2D – gate 7;
  • Terminal 2E – gate 12 in the arrivals hall;
  • Terminal 2F – gate 12 in the arrivals hall;
  • Terminal 3 – exit from the arrivals hall;
  • Terminal 2G – blue exit.

Cabs, if they are official, must have “Checkers” on them. The trip to the city center costs in the range of 50-70 euros – it is the most expensive and comfortable way to get from the airport to Paris. 1.1. RER C

First of all you can get from Paris airport to the city center by suburban trains – it’s fast, easy and cheap. The RER C connects Orly with Pont de Rungis station. To get to the city, take the Paris par le train to Pont de Rungis station, where you take the GOTA or NORA trains towards Pontoise or Montigny Beauchamp. Conversely, if you need to get from Paris to Orly airport, take a train in the direction of Massy – Palaiseau or Pont de Rungis, and there take a bus that will take you to the airport.

Orly is connected to Antony station by the shuttle ORLYVAL. That is, you first need to get to Antony station, and then change to a train in the direction of Mitry-Claye or Aéroport Charles de Gaulle. Conversely, if you want to go to Orly, take the train in the direction of Saint Remy les Chevreuses.

ORLYVAL shuttle stops at the airport: South Terminal – entrance K, West Terminal – entrance A, arrivals hall. Shuttle transportation between terminals is free of charge.

Travel time: 25 minutes by train, 8 minutes by bus. Ticket price: 12,05 Euro (RER + Orlyval).

Streetcar 7

Streetcar 7 (T7) runs from the airport to the end of the metro line 7 Villejuif-Louis Aragon. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes, the fare is 1.70 euros (single t+ ticket). The streetcar runs from 5:30 am to 0:30. It’s the cheapest way to get from the airport to Paris.

3.1 Orlybus

From Orly you can get to Paris by buses Orlybus, which connect the airport with Denfert-Rochereau station. Buses in the south terminal can be found at the entrance C, in the west – at the entrance D, arrival hall. The cost of the ticket is 7.50 euros . Travel time – 30 minutes.

3.2 Air France buses

Air France line 1 buses connect the center of Paris (Gare Montparnasse, Invalides, Étoile) with the airport. Stops: south terminal – entrance K, west – D, arrivals hall. The cost is 12,50 euros, travel time is about 1 hour.

Air France line 3 buses connect Orly and Charles de Gaulle. Stops at Orly at both terminals, at Charles-de-Gaulle airport – at terminals 2A-2C, 2E-2F, 2D-2B and 1. The cost is 21 euros, travel time – about 1 hour 15 minutes.

3.3 Buses № 183 and 91.10

You can take bus number 183 to Porte de Choisy station. The fare is 2 euros . Travel time is about 50 minutes.

Bus stops at Orly:

  • South terminal – entrance C, stop 4;
  • West Terminal – entrance D/G, arrivals hall.

Bus number 91.10 connects Orly airport and Massy-TGV station. The cost is 1,90 euro. Travel time is about 30 minutes.

How to get from the airport of Beauvais to Paris

The airport of Beauvais is far from Paris – it’s inconvenient, expensive and long to get there. The main flight connections are by low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Wizz Air, which offer cheap flights to Paris. 1. By bus

From the airport to the metro station Porte Maillot there is a shuttle. The cost of the ticket is 15,90 euros (via the Internet) and 17 euros (at the ticket office).
