Yes, Playa de las Americas is just right. Look for apartments in this area. For example we lived: Calle Noelia Afonso Cabrera, 10-5, 5 minutes to the beach Playa del Camison, while you cross the noisiest street (just the shopping, restaurants, etc.), but at the address where we lived all quiet and no cafes under the windows, everything was quiet. And to noisy walks 2-5 minutes. The negatives are different for everyone. We liked it as it was quiet, 5 minutes to the beach, evenings out and there were clubs, restaurants, if you wanted quiet, just go the other way

Also, tell me if it makes sense to split the accommodation into two parts, but still stay on the south side (South/South)? Or if splitting up, should we move drastically to the north (besides, we also fly from the north airport to Barcelona in the early hours)? I understand correctly, that in the south, too, in winter, not much to bathe, and in the north, so it is not necessary to think about it? )

Personally, I wouldn’t. It takes about an hour to drive north on the highway. That’s about nothing. The weather there may be more clouds. To swim: as the ocean plus or minus 2-4 degrees, that in the winter (were and bathed, not actively, but all the same), that in the summer it is cool – here it depends on you, in water there are people, but it not the steam milk. In the north there are no such beaches as in the south. There is great sand where kids can play very well. As for children and adults nearby the excellent water park, you can go twice: the first time to go at the beginning of arrival, on an exit it is possible to buy tickets essentially cheaper for the second visit (type action). You won’t go with kids all the time – serpentine everywhere, except for one highway from north to south and that’s it. It’s exhausting to drive 20-30 km per hour:)

Hello everyone!!! I have re-read everything, but the question is still not resolved. We are planning with children (up to 4 years) for 3 weeks in Tenerife. At all times will be a car. Question: Is there a sense to break into 3 parts rest (or on 2) or in any point of the island can be reached from Los Gigantes. Originally thought so 7 days Los Gigantes, 7 North, 7 East. 7 days north is not boring? But now I’m leaning more and more towards 2 houses to stay in.

East is what is in the middle between north and south you mean? Then it makes no sense to consider. Moving for 7-10 days in my personal opinion is controversial. The car is close by, you can drive around, the drive from north to south is no more than an hour. Although if you live in Los Gigantos, I would consider moving south or north. Because of the serpentine road. It’s not convenient to drive, and you won’t hang out in Los Gigantos for a week, you’ll get bored after 2-3 days. If you have a car, it is better to choose “straight places”: Adeja, Las Americas, north, etc. Consider that from the turn on the road to Los Gigantes straight road to the north, all the rest continuous serpentine and you still have to drive to Los Gigantes from the turn. Yes, 1-2 times to go there is great, but every day. And you will drive all over the island in three weeks, and it’s serpentine again. It’s really tiring, even if you’re the driver and it’s easy for you, others will be sick of driving like that.
